Vance Gerry Train Collection Coming to Burbank

Opens Saturday, January 12th, 2008
Hours are 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays
Admission is free and parking is at 1100 W. Clark Ave.

 

 

 

This exhibit displays over 200 examples of historic trains and accessories made in the late 1930's and 1940's after production was resumed at the end of World War II. Most were made in England, Germany, France and other European countries by Hornby, Biller Bahn, marklin, Brimtoy, Chad Valley and others. Some train sets are still displayed in their original boxes.

 
   
About Vance Gerry  
For over 30 years, Mr. Gerry collected historic trains as his major hobby. He joined The Walt Disney Company in 1955 and was regarded as one of the most creative and talented story artist in the industry. Upon his death in 2005, he left his collection of trains to the Burbank Historical Society.
